Honest weather
Skua watches your sky, reads your day, and calls the change before it catches you out. Honest forecasts, a bird with a real personality, and a price the big weather apps will hate.
One email when it lands, nothing else.
Not canned one-liners. Skua reacts to your actual forecast, your alerts, and what changed since you last looked, then says something worth reading.
The big weather apps charge up to sixty dollars a year. Skua does more for a few bucks, because good weather data does not cost what they pretend it does.
Many providers behind one clean forecast, cross-checked and normalized. You get the best read for where you are, not one vendor's guess.
What it does
01
One sharp paragraph that fuses your forecast, alerts, and day into what actually matters before you walk out the door.
02
Nowcasting that tells you when the rain starts and stops where you are standing, not a vague chance for the whole city.
03
Official warnings pushed the moment they post, in plain language, with the confidence called out when the sky is changing.
04
Surf, aviation, aurora, air quality, and pollen. Add the layers you care about, ignore the ones you do not.
05
A fast, beautiful web app now, with native widgets and watch complications to follow. It looks as good as it reads.
06
Home, work, the trailhead, and wherever family is. Save them all and glance across them in one place.
The difference
Other apps hand you numbers and walk away. Skua reads the same data and tells you what to actually do with your day, in a voice you will want to check.
Sky's about to open up around five. That 6pm run you swore you would not skip? Skip it, or bring a story about why you came home soaked. Skua

About the name
A skua is a stout seabird that rides storm fronts and makes its living robbing other birds in mid-air. It reads the weather before anyone else and has no patience for it. That is the whole idea: honest forecasts with an attitude, from a bird that has seen every kind of sky. The mark keeps its signature white wing flash, on a near-black storm ground with one ember-orange accent.
