The forecast, read for you.

Skua shows the numbers, then tells you what they mean for the day you actually have. The sky behind them follows the weather, down to the stars on a clear night.

Flight PlanOne line on how the day goes, then the hours that matter: golden light, the best time to be out, the peak heat, when trouble brews.
Your plans, checkedAdd a run, ride, or trip with a time and place and the bird reads that window. With your permission it checks your next calendar event too.
Rain to the minuteWhen rain is close, a two-hour chart shows when it starts and stops.
The week aheadEach day gets a one-word character and a grade, so you can see which day to bank on.

The skua comments on the weather on screen. Pick how it talks to you. Every line ships inside the app, so the voice works offline and sends nothing anywhere.

Salty swears. Feral is for grown-ups.

Where the data comes from.

Skua has no server of its own. The app calls each source directly from your phone through a shared Go core.

Where it stands.

Skua is free under the Apache 2.0 license, with no ads, no accounts, and no paid tier. It is not available to download yet. A TestFlight beta is the next step, and this page will say so when it opens. Until then, the code is on GitHub and builds with Xcode and gomobile. It requires iOS 17 or later.
